While at C&C Crystal Cove this morning two young guys were racing between traffic lights in front of our venue. One in a Lambo and the other in a Ferrari (new cars). The cops caught them and escorted them to a prominent position in front of the C&C event. My not so good pic below shows the two cars lined up to one of two flat bed trucks to be impounded. I did not see much support for these "enthusiasts". (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) Attached Image

Might be the only way to get the attention of uber-wealthy (or spoiled kids of uber-wealthy).

In Norway, serious traffic fines are based on the income of the evil-doer.

All fines should be like that. If they hurt poor people, they should hurt rich people too.

It's great to have gobs of power, but how can you talk your way of an "Italian tune up" to clean the plugs? And besides cameras are everywhere, it's near impossible to have fun anymore.

Although the turnout at Enderle (Tustin) has been slim lately I’d much rather go there then Crystal because of morons like that. Don’t need the drama as just want to hang and talk cars....

Oh and three 914’s there yesterday.

No pity from me for the morons racing each other on city streets between lights. Cite and impound seems appropriate. When they pay the huge tow/storage bill in addition to the huge citation, maybe they will think twice in the future. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Of course, presumes they can/will THINK. Highly unlikely IMHO. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Has anyone ever seen the supercut of clips of people leaving cars and coffee in Mustangs, only to punch it upon leaving and put it into the curb.

Seems like Mustangs should be HP limited to 100HP if you are under 35 years of age. I remember when our CHP got the 5.0 Mustangs and the young "rookie" officers were wrecking them at an incredible rate. The CHP then came out with a policy that said you had to have 5 years on before you could drive one, or be over 30 years of age. Solved the problem.

In Cali, if you "engage in a speed contest" its an impound.... that's before you get to a judge... then there is the suspension.... and the fine.... Drive spirited, don't race.

I broke all kinds of rules with this post, so Zach the Admin had to edit my post.
