Watching Van's Porsche engine build on youtube installing the piston rings. He installed the ring with the dot for the top rings. I thought that is the second compression ring with the top rings un-marked??

I just did in my Hasting rings on a set of KB pistons
First ring: un marked and Square- Can be installed in the first piston groove up or down does not matter Second ring. Has inside bevel- and DOT on one side- Installed on second piston groove with DOT facing UP Oil ring (3 pieces) Installed in Botton piston groove. Expander is installed with ends facing UP First.
