Any one have a good time replacing the mirror on the outside mirror.
any replacement parts ?

914 Rubber has the glass, doesn't seem to be a project to replace. Gaskets if you are replacing the entire mirror are readily available.

The glass is no problem, it's the the inner mirror grommet and outer black retainer seal.

There is a difference between early (up to 71) and later side mirrors.
Early ones are about 5mm shorter (less wide). Should have different glass, too.
I finally "found" a ´71 914 with the stock mirror to prove this. Also note that the 90° arm is not "round" but more "angular".
