I either got: "wrong permissions. Contact administrator" or it just won't load at all.

How large are your images? I think the current max size is 8MB (might be less than that).

It appear the limit is set to 4MB.

I get this if I post a almost 3MB image:
"You have used 2.98mb of attachment space for this post."
"You have 1.02mb left for this post."

And I get this if I try a 4.57MB image:
"The total filespace required to upload all the attached files is greater than your per post or global limit. Please reduce the number of attachments or the size of the attachments."

Personally I don't have an issue with 4MB limit.

It was over 4mb, but I was getting weird messages combined with "Safari can't load the page".

It's all good. I got it.

Y'all need to learn how to compress your image files, anything over 50 KB is just wasted memory space.

I reduce mine to all under 1mb, like 600K. Uploads fast and picture quality if fine for this forum. Sample picture. Best, MarkAttached Image

Just tried again with a 2.2mb pic. No go.

I get this:

The requested file upload failed because suitable permissions have not been enabled on the 'uploads' directory. Please contact the board administrator and inform them of this error.

I think it has something to do with .heic files from my iPhone.

I change them to .jpg, but I think something is getting lost in translation.

Yeah, i never heard of .heic files until just now, i'm pretty sure we don't have support for that format.

I figured it out.

Changed settings in my new phone to force it to take .jpg files. I love Apple, but they sure do change stuff without asking.
