I have to replace the rear seal. Should I pull the transfer case or drop the whole engine?

I have to replace the rear seal. Should I pull the transfer case or drop the whole engine? I agree with Matt, just the transmission if you are just doing the rear main seal. that way you dont have to disconnect the fuel likes and all the electric. I will be doing the same due to RMS leak as well. Phil |

Agreed. If it's just the rear main, no need to drop the engine. BUT. If there's anything else you need to do (valves, inspection, pushrod tube seals, etc. I'd drop it.
