I would really like to see this site have many many more tech articles. What projects are you working on that you can document?

I'm willing to flesh out the words part of it, but pictures, lots of pictures. That's what we need. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

Who's game?

I try to document what I'm doing on my blog. But the things I'm doing now are not for the typical 914 owner. How many of you need a f/g targa bar?

But things like caliper rebuilds, wheel bearing replacement, gas tank and windshield removal and heater box fix up would be some things that people do everyday.

I have all the pictures on how to install a 911 style park brake on a 914. But I won't be able to finish it until after the MUSR.

I can do a dash re-face. I did one over the weekend, and could do it again to document it. Only took me an hour or so.

After the MUSR I am going to pull the cables and have them copied so Thom Ewing can setup a parkbrake for the v-8 conversion. The company that made them is local to me, and they get 135.00 a set for the cables. I will get 2 sets made, and keep one for a spare/template for anyone who wants them.

I talked to them about a bulk purchase. They told me that if I can get 50 sets, they can get the price down to 100.00 a set. But I can't front 5,000.00, so they will have to be ordered one at a time.

I guess the best way to handle this is for ya'll to compress each set of project pictures into a archive and then email it to me (markd@mac.com). Then I'll sort them out.

Better watch it... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/stromberg.gif) will be using the tech articles for his website and copying it to his brain housing group as knowledge....

I'd be more than willing to do some tech articles for the club site if it wasn't for that bastard and his thieving ways of plaguerism (sp)... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/finger.gif)

Hey Jake, we could always "watermark" any pics so that if he does steal them, you'd at least get credit and free advertising. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

I'm not too worried about plagiarism. We're lucky, in that we're not losing a product or trade secret if he steal something. It's worth more to me to have tech info available to our members. I'd agree with watermarking the pictures so that even if he stole the text, without the pictures it would be relatively worthless. And if he took the pictures, it would be easy enough to prove he stole them. It's horrible that this is what we have to deal with. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ar15.gif)
