I just purchased this car and want to change the fluids. It has the 1.7L with 180k miles on engine, what OIL mfg and grade do you recommend

I would use 20w-50 Lucas Hot Rod & Classic Car Oil. It contains high Zinc and is cheaper than other specialty oils. It can often be found at Walmart and other FLAPS

A 20w50 for your local should be best, but you need to use an oil that is high in ZDDP, this additive is very bad for catalytic converters so not always available at your flap.
ZDDP is an additive used to protect flat tappets and cam shafts in engines exactly like your 1.7.

I have been using Castrol 20W 50 for 50 or so years, never an engine failure
