Thinking out loud.PO did'nt do a great job when installing helicoil for the speedo drive bolt so it sprung out when reinstaling bolt after tranny go thru.Question ?? is there any reason I can't retap hole and install allen bolt with the end machined down to fit the locate hole on the speedo drive .? Seems like there's plenty of material on the tranny boss for the retapping.Ok what ya Think

because the hole is bigger than what you need....

if you have a 8mm screw and the hole is 9mm large now, you cant anti-tap the hole, so people tap for a helicoil and install that. voila! you have 8mm again.
