of interest mr. b? @JeffBowlsby
currently for sale in Japan. https://www.goo-net-exchange.com/usedcars/P...1001/index.html owners manual contains no reference to 2.0/1.8 on cover like other markets. just straight 914 since they only sold a 2.0? images on broker website low res and hard to see detail. but car looks very original and in excellent condition. perhaps restored. wolfsburg crest on steering wheel. kilometer speedo. maybe if you wrote to them inquiring you might get sent a better batch of images for your LE website. |

George has had a Japanese Spec Bumble Bee at Auto Atlanta. Do not know if it is still there.

Looks intriguing. I can see some of the japan specific front trunk labels making me think it is a real SL, not one imported from elsewhere. Wish I knew how to contact the owner and what it would cost to bring it to the states.
I would like to know the VIN at the very least. Goeorge has the only known 914SL BB, this would be a terrific addition. @dr914 |

Did the Japanese or non-US market use painted Fuchs instead of Mahles?

Black engine lid lettering - interesting. What's on the sides of the center console? The painted Fuchs are cool - didn't realize that was Japanese SL-specific. $56k USD.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) don't think the black engine lid letters are factory. but you never know. |

@JeffBowlsby .
got you the Vin number. its hidden in the japanese condition report. pretty low res. you can just make it out. think its 4742914787 or it could be ---4783. bit hard to tell. love the way its includes 914 in sequence in the run of numbers. |
