is the possible buyer a 911, 912 or 914 guy?
if for a 914, it's not that big of a deal to have those since they are not "correct" so they might not be willing to pay the big bucks, however an early 911/912 person might "need" those rims to finish a restoration.... |

put an ad on craigslist and i had emails flying in.
thought maybe i was LOW at $1100. My experience selling a set of 4.5" Fuchs alloys for $250 has made me paranoid. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/screwy.gif) "whats that? you want those 550 spyder coco matts too? how about 20 bucks?" |

Almost always at least $1000 if in usuable condition. I sold a "fair" set a year ago for $1200. They are only "correct" for '69-70 911 and maybe early '71. I think they were also original with M471 914-6 package (flares, 21mm spacers). Only time a 914 came with a wheel wider than 5.5 inches. If your buyer has a M471 package to complete, start at $2000!

I got 1200 for a decent set couple of years back....I traded another set to a SWB 911 friend that has been keeping me in electrical parts for my house for free....best investment I ever made.... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/cool_shades.gif)

Have you verified that they are deep 6" by the part number?

It is interesting who will fork over the money for these early wheels. I have a set of (5) 15x5.5's in good condition and I have been seeing sets of (4) go on ebay for ~$1500. They are correct on '68 911S's. I definitely will be selling them when my new set of 16x6's get back from Al Reed.

I sold 6 Deeps last year for $1,900. They look great on a teener. Pain in the ass for any tire guy as they were made to have tubes.
