Looks sharp!
Assume a custom order, painted top, bumpers etc? New owner is probably very excited. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |

I remember when that car was for sale several years ago. I guy named Mark living in Oxnard or Santa Barbara. I was checking it out and had a plan to see it in the A.M. when Mark called me back to say, I guy just stopped by and was buying it. It went to the east and after a while it was on AA site for sale. If my memory does not fail me for 70. Same age a DR. George
I remember the color was a white from Lexus. Bob B |

it has a remote clicker that activates a solenoid in the door to pop it open. Same with the rear trunk. They work well unless you leave the clicker in the car!!!!!!! (LOL)

no we did not build it, was done around the turn of the century in California, we sold the guy a bunch of parts though One Man's idea of a custom 914=6 conversion. Not my taste but to each his own George, Confused on this one. Did you build it? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Not something I would have built either. Neat 914 for certain, just not my taste. If I remember my Bug shaved handles (1986 or so), alarm remote tied to relay which actuated a door lock solenoid from some random car. Worked okay most of the time. |

So what is your recourse opening doors when remote or solenoid or battery fails?
Other than break the glass? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) GN it has a remote clicker that activates a solenoid in the door to pop it open. Same with the rear trunk. My v8 car has shaved door handles with vernier actuators to open the doors. My battery is in the front trunk and I can pop the lid from the outside with a pocket knife. I have a backup battery jumper in there that I can use in an emergency.
