What is the lowest air pressure you guys/gals use in your larger than stock (165R15) tires to get a nice ride?

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/agree.gif) i found that my Nankang street tires (225/50x15) would stick the best at around 25lbs cold. they don't show any uneven wear either (besides my flatspots from a few AX) ... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) Andy |

I guess I like my tires hard.
I can't stand driving on wishy washy tires. If the side wall is rolling over then you are losing tread surface contact with the road. Come to think of most things are better hard. |

Front: 21 psi cold - 225/50/16 Yokohama A032R
Rear: 23 psi cold - 245/45/16 Yokohama A032R These track pressures. There is practically no sidewall deflection ... ever since the engine expired last weekend (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif) Eddie |

not true, letting the side wall flex keeps the flat tread on the ground as opposed to over inflated tires that can't flex. now bends over on its sidewall. |
