Check out my new engine stand I built. Space is at a premium in my office/build room. So this stand not only turns the engine 360 like normal, but it also swings toward the wall to get out of the way as well as reach various other parts of the engine. It's bolted to the floor with 5/8" bolts hammer drilled into the concrete slab about 7". It's not going anywhere and I'm confident it would handle a fully loaded V8 should I ever want to put that monster up there. Oh, and it's higher than a normal engine stand. I'm not sure it'll stay that tall, but right now it a really good height while I'm standing and it also lets the engine clear my desk, so it can go all the way to the wall.

Brandon painted it for me. German fade with a pearl clearcoat. I would leave out the pearl next time. It made the black look brown.

What's the load rating of the bolts holding it to the floor? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)
