2056 with 9:1 CR, Ljet injection, Mallory Unilite distributor, with Petronix 40,000 volt coil. What plug gap should I use?

Basically stock gap.
I think that you can open the gap up by .005 or something stupid small like that. Small enough that you can't tell the difference on one of the round plug gap disks you can find at FLAPS.

BTW, if you have any worn plug wires you WILL find them with the bigger coil. You are likely going to need the HD spiral wound wires if you don't already have them or you will burn out the optical sensor in the Mallory UNilite. BTDT. Started keeping a spare optical unit in my tool box.

Thanks for the reply. I have MSD spiral core plug wires, Mallory voltage spike filter and spare modules in the tool box. Currently plugs are gaped at.030.

You are NOT running a CDI, correct? If you are, feel free to open the gaps to .045".

I use an old Crane Fireball, been on there forever. There is better stuff out there now. Hands down the best thing I ever did to make my car reliable. A couple cranks in the morning and "VROOM!" That and a hot start kit and I could take it anywhere.

2.7/6 cyl, Weber 40IDT carbs, MSD 6AL Pertronix 1847 Ignitor, running .045 plug gaps. Runs great for the most part.

Not sure how similar to the Mallory?

Trying to get her painted before winter, will do more sorting in the spring
