Happened across this car for sale in Folsom Ca yesterday.

Clewett Engineering, Richard Clewett's custom built 914-6 turbo conversion.

Twin plug 3.1 putting out what I was told 400 HP on low boost and 500 on high boost.

Full cage tied to suspension points. 915 transmission. Asking $41k

Cool car and solid price. I dislike most of the plumbing but that could be redone.

The Electromotive tech3 ecu is out of date, BUT since Richard Clewett is a guru of ALL things 'Electromotive >>as long as his biz stays around, you should be able to get your new replacement parts OK. Change over / rewiring the car to a more modern, tunable ecu can reach into the sub $10k range /for a top shelf mgmt. system.

The photos look like they are trying to force feed air into that motor. Reminds me a bit of a picture that shows a French farmer feeding a goose. In both cases beyond my price. Seems like a low price to me.

Nice find; hopefully someone will buy and enjoy it. Close to me, I am in Auburn- surprised I have yet to see it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Yeah the turbo is under the right rear trunk. The air filter above it feeds the turbo and then is pushed through the intercooler into the engine.

Someone could put steel flares on it, change the intercooler setup to put a regular trunk lid on it, repaint it and have a very solid sleeper. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Only problem is during the "correction" and modernization of the ECU you find ANOTHER 100+ hp.

I bet it's EVIL at the low 400hp setting! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

Adding 200+ more doesn't actually make it faster.

Just MUCH harder to control! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ninja.gif)

Now, if you went AWD...
