Hi Guys,

With spring around the corner and my -6 coming out of metal soon, I figured I'd put the bumblebee up for auction. Anyone interested?

That is such a sweet LE and will make someone a happy 914 owner. I know the "Toy" car market has really softened.

Good Luck with your auction! I drove mine last weekend as it is stored up north and am finding it would be hard to part with it. I love driving it.

Good luck. I don't typically follow Pcar. Hopefully it is a stronger result than BAT. I need to get on putting the spare transmission in mine and doing a few other things. My drive to Rennsport was a good shake down cruise but showed the trans to not be as "rebuilt" as advertised (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

It does seem like the overall market has softened. I am planning on selling my 356 this spring and am hoping it hasn't gotten too soft.

It's a very different demographic than bat. There are probably many PCA members that would never be interested in a bat purchase. Hopefully one of those will grab it.

If you need help valuating the 356 is the current market, let me know, I do more then most.

Well, that was a disappointing result. Sorry this didn't get more traction. Has the 914 market softened more than 911/356? I guess your 914 collection is growing, at least for a while :-)

What’s this? Doesn’t look like usual P-car. Maybe a 308?

P car just does not seem to bring the money, unfortunately. We have at least 40 914s on the lot know and maybe ten spectacular cars, but no one is really interested in them, seems like the market has cooled, and the fact that one can buy a spectacular boxster for 20 makes finding the person to spring into a 914 for over 30 grand hard to find.

I think you're correct, George. It's a combination of a bunch of things. Also people who have decent budgets are generally looking for 911s and ferraris. What's interesting is that the Pcar auction got more views and saves than BAT, but way less bidding.

All good. I'll just hold on to the LE and have the holy trinity of 914s in my collection...an LE, a '70 -6 and a highly original '74 ravenna 2.0.

It's ok, Ian. The people who know, know. It'll find the next right place on its own.

Spring is Sports Car Season...maybe the buyers have not woken up from the winter slumber? Wait until the weather turns nice to see what happens. Then again, the national economy is dubious right now, folks may be holding onto their beans to see how things shake out.
