Well, now that the cable is installed and through the tunnel and connected to the gas pedal properly I have a metric mile of excess cable.

Is this a known/common issue for replacement throttle cables on a dual carb hex bar set up?

Anyone else run into this?[

Maybe you need to wrap the accelerator cable around the clutch cable a few times? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Seriously, though, did you hook up the other end of the cable to the gas pedal first?

Ha!

Hi guys – happy Friday to you both all.

It is connected to the gas pedal.

One solution is to just trim the cable, but that question of why the heck there is so much un-used cable.

The old one I removed did not have this issue, but I didn’t think to compare the two before I installed the new one.

Oh man - and to think they let me be a parent.

It popped off the gas pedal linkage and I didn't know it.

Because you're putting it on a set of carbs, not on the original EFI throttle body?
