Fog light wiring, Are these the right ones? Options

Spent the last week refinishing the ground effects and the bumpers. Next step is to put fog lights back into the factory spot. I have the new 914 Rubber fog lights grilles and led lights to fit, but need to know if these are the right wires. And also if they are, how are they operated? Not sure if this car came with them from the factory, the car already had aftermarket plastic grilles in it and they were cracked and broken. My interior only has one light switch that is a pull switch that activates the headlights. I put my volt meter on the brown ground and the white/yellow positive, and no voltage going to them when light switch is pulled out. Are these the factory wires, or something else?

Yes. The two white ones on the drivers side connect together and feed the other side. So stuff them both into your new connector.

There's a separate switch on the dashboard that operates the fog lights. The switch and relay (in later cars) are connected such that the fogs can only go on when the low beams are on, or if they're actually driving lights so that they can only go on when the high beams are on.

The two white wires twisted and soldered together are your power wires on the driver side. As stated one of the two white wires goes to the passenger side to power the other fog/driving light. The brown wires are your grounds. I added male waterproof heat shrink connectors to the power wires which I then added the female waterproof heat shrink connectors to the power side of the Euro spec fog lights and then male connectors to the ground side of the fog light assemblies so if and when I have to remove them, they just disconnect easily for service. The other black and brown wires on the passenger side are for the optional second horn depending on what package you ordered. Here is the photo of how I setup the passenger side.

Thanks guys! So I’m assuming they wired all the cars, but only put the fog light kits in certain models. I only have one dash switch other than the hazards, and it only operates the head lights and running lights. I placed my volt meter on the yellow/white and brown grounds and could not get a signal by manipulating the headlight switch. I have a 5 pin Bosche relay and 14 gauge wiring to run a new set up to the new led driving lights, so I guess that’s what I’ll be doing later today.

All I had to do is add fog lights to the front and a this switch (one like it) to my car
and the fogs worked. No relay and no wiring. My car is a non appearance group , no sways no fogs no nothing. Switch goes next to you emergency switch, the wiring for the switch is right under there.

Well that makes it a bit easier. Just order a factory switch that has all the needed relays built into it. That looks much better than an aftermarket switch. I’ll look online and see what they have to offer.

This is just a switch leg. No relay. I swear all I had to do is install the lights and plug the switch into the stock wiring for the fog lights that is under the dash. I did not need to mess with the relay that is already in place. Plug and play. I put in a console…Plug and play…Added a second horn…wait for it…Plug and play.

I will mention that the fog light circuit energizes when the head lamps come on. Guess they didn’t want us driving around with just the fogs on. There is a way to change that. I never did it, maybe one of the guys that has done it will chime in
