I helped local La Quinta guy Gary find this car 10 years ago. since then, he has really gone through it to make it the best running stock 2.0 liter D jet I have ever seen. Gary was a VW line mechanic so he knows these cars well. he would stress over things like idle being 100rpm too high. So he would chase it down until he had it perfect. recently put in new bearings and tie rod ends. engine and tranny are dry, no leaks. no rust anywhere. Sometime before Gary bough tit, someone painted inside engine area and under rocker areas black. Dont know why. and they relocated the ECU to the firewall.
Other than that, car is mostly correct and original. but more importantly, runs and drives like a new car. I have driven this car and I have followed him for hundreds of miles of drives. I can vouch for the drivability

He is asking $32,000.
