Renew the appearance of your 914 gauges to like new and add the best dimmable illumination possible. The led strips are the perfect length,width,strength,color and positioned to enhance the factory design and give only the white numbers and segments equal light without glare on the black spaces. Hi Rick, I could definitely do that, just been waiting for more input/feedback from everybody. It could be an option to either kit. The kits I make seriously focus on optical readability, to make the gauges easiest to read at a glance without distraction, day or night. The color choice could put some fun into it. The colors was very popular at a time. The very parts that timothy used for that is still available and cheaper than ever. Thanks for asking, I will look into what is available now to do remote control color changes and still have top quality number/segment illumination.

I can vouch for GT's kit. Was really nice to refresh the gauges with glass (vs the scratched plastic) and the LED's are sweet. If you've never taken apart a gauge, it's a bit fiddly to work the metal ring off, but the modified paint lid tool works well. The wiring is nice and logical - all you have to do is select the circuit on the fuse panel to jumper from.
