Well, The time has finally come.

I finished my 2.8L 6 that I built for my car that been ready to go in for a few years now.
So I need to sell my type 4.

Ill start off by saying Its been a really really good motor, I have put about 14 thousand miles on it. so its fully broken in and been a reliable driver for about 10 years now.

It is damp around the oil pump a bit but thats it.
Honestly most days it runs so smoothly and well that I question my decision to put the 6 into it.

Here is a quick clip of what it sounds like from around when the car was put together.

but really what matters, the specs.

2258cc

9:1 compression
Mallory mechanical distributor I also have a 009 knock off that comes with.
Web 86A cam and web lifters/springs chromoly pushrods.
European motorworks cyls
96mm keith black pistons
European motorworks rods
Fat Counterweighted 78mm crank
stainless valves and head machine work by european motorworks.
swapped to 1.7 rockers with elephant foot adjusters
30mm oil pump
straight cut cam gears.
2.0L SSI heat exchangers (these were added after I put the motor into the car)
Triad muffler.
Comes with the flywheel
All the 2.0L tin is intact and powdercoated satin black.
Aircooled.net thermostat
all flaps work and controlled by thermostat.
Tuna can.
Weber 44 IDF carbs.
rotating assembly fully balanced

Motor is still in the car, I can take you for a ride anytime really.
Ive also had a external oil cooler with a thermostatic switch to run a fan for the cooler to keep temps in check.
I found that having a cooler on it has made it way easier to keep in tune and I have not had to worry about heat since.
It also got a new alternator when the motor went in, and i have had no problems with it.
Fan housing re finished in silver.
Would love for this to go to a good home, ive really enjoyed driving it. its also done two overcrest rallys and was able to keep up with the rest of the pack without trouble.

looking to get 6k complete
