Where are folks buying their Standard Motor Products FJ67 injectors (replacements for the original 2.0 D-jet green tip Bosch injectors)?
I want to make sure I get them with the correct bent elbows and from an online seller that isn't a PITA to deal with if there's an issue with the order. I've had nothing but great experiences with Summit Racing, but they only have 1 in stock. Looks like PartsGeek has the correct elbows on these for $94 a pop +$16 to ship, but I know a lot of folks on 914 W have had bad customer service experiences when they received the wrong item: https://www.partsgeek.com/ss/?i=1&ssq=F...r+Standard+FJ67 PartsHawk appears to have them for $95/ea. w/ the correct elbows, but I'm not familiar with this seller (and their reviews on Google are inferior to Partsgeek): https://partshawk.com/porsche-914-fuel-inje...ducts-fj67.html Thanks in advance. |

I got mine from RockAuto.com. They had the best price at the time, but it was kind of a pain to deal with them; and took a return and complaint before I got four correct injectors.
They originally sent me one StandardProducts brand injector and three from another brand that had straight hoses (Intermodal, I think). Took a while to find how to file a return, and get through their AI system to actual file a complaint with the return. Once I finally got a human to respond, I had to send them pics of the correct vs incorrect injectors. Fortunately, they shipped the correct injectors as soon as they received the wrong ones back. |

I got mine from Rock Auto a couple of years ago. They were all correct but one leaked the first time I sent fuel thru it. They were using a brass clamped end at the time and it wasn’t pinched down correctly. Pain to deal with returns… plus I couldn’t do my first start for another 2 weeks. After putting 2500 miles… I’ve had one fail. Car started running bad and I eventually checked/tested the spray pattern. I had to replace it and the new one came with a traditional spring clamp… instead of the brass end on the injector side. The all fit perfect and all is good for now.

You may want to consider posting a WTB add for the original Bosch injectors. I'm sure there are many people like me who have spares they are sitting on that have been sent off for testing/cleaning and are verified in working order. (I'm not selling)

Do those have the correct angled elbows? They look only just slightly angled. I thought 914s require a 90 degree right angled elbow like this one: ![]() |

They were direct fit. Looked just like the originals and I had no problems hooking up the rails.

Those are correct for fit. I just replaced one that I mentioned before and the new one came with a squeeze clamp and not with the brass clamp. I wonder if they found issues with consistency in manufacturing with the brass one and now decided to change. The leaking one I got had a cut in the hose probably introduced when it was clamped. So now I have a mix of clamps between the hose and injector.

AFter waiting over a month to get 4 FJ67 fuel injectors from Amazon, I cancelled my order and pulled the trigger at Rock Auto (who had the lowest price). They arrived in 2 days. Didn't realize the were made in the US. They look great, but wanted to check with others ... are these clamps the ones that were problematic or are these the updated clamps that are fine?

Interesting - mine are (apparently) the previous model, although I've had no issue.
Looks like they've gone up since I got mine in 2021 - I paid 65.89/each (plus the seals) and now they go for 84.79? wow. Mine look like this - as per the info on Rock Auto: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk...224&jsn=330 |

Those are the old ones... and I still have 2 of those in the car. One had a cut hose from when the clamped it... and another started leaking after about a year. The new clamps I think are better.... but only time will tell. You get a 5 year warranty with these... and you have to return them back where you bought them.

Here’s a pic of one compared to the newer versions of SMP FJ67s. Not the body is now silver metal (not black plastic). Also note the brass crimp has been replaced with a clamp. These improvements likely contributed to them becoming more expensive (on top of the crazy inflation in the last few years). |

Very interesting - thanks for this.
I haven't had any issues with the previous/old version - hopefully that continues! |

Maybe it's just me, but I don't like how it looks like the edge of the clamp is cutting into the hose. I'd prefer to see a more rounded edge on the edge of the band.

That’s similar to the issue I had with the old clamp. When I inspected the new ones a got the clamp/hose combination looked good. These are all done on a machine and it seems they are having manufacturing variances. Best to inspect and return the defective units. When it leaks…it can get out of control in a hurry.
