Been doing a few upgrades to the fuel system. Everything is peachy keen, but randomly car wouldn’t start. Check everything again and all seems fine. I got 5 keys when I purchased my 914. Sometimes the ignition switch gets stuck, cylinder stays in. Looking at them really closely, I notice one is very worn. Try another and fires right up! Seems silly but maybe this is common?

you can pull the lock cylinder back out with a judicious amount of key wiggling. If I were you, I'd buy a new set of keys, unless you know that some are really new.
if they are all old, you are more likely to break off an old metal key portion, and then it's stuck in the ignition. |
