Using a 4 lug with stock rotors so the old BMW front caliper trick is good enough for this. Planed on AutoZone level rebuilt units and then have them machined locally. Just throwing it out here to see if anyone has some in newish condition that they just don't want or need. Wanting to do something rather quickly to make a running project easily movable(no calipers on it now).

If no one has any available I would appreciate any knowledge/advice/other-better recommendations or getting a machine shop to do this way correctly. ty!
(also I cant remember exactly which ones, 197?-198? 3 series bmw?)

Maybe the small/cheap brembo calipers is being used on 4lug/solid rotor now,??? advice?

You should buy some porterfield pads instead
Lots of differing opinions about this “up grade”…

Pads Really good pads. Are going to be a significant upgrade by themselves

All right, thank you for checking. There looks to be 1 co in England that has a new aftermarket version of this caliper(probably made in China(if NOT I will buy them)) PMB has great things to say about this BMW conversion but there are no cores left on the planet. Pellican has the history on this conversion. Later model 911 parts are the best way to go but I still want 4 lug wheels

Yes, absolutely! I am wondering if a machine shop will actually do the mill to the mating surface these days though?

I have a new reproductions pair I can get machined. It would be $400 for the pair.
