I've tried putting a 12 volt current across the terminals and there's no life from the motor.

A multimeter shows there is continuity through the contacts. The motor has a moderate resistance to turn it by hand but not so excessive that I wouldn't expect the motor to spin.

So would the conclusion be that the motor is no good?

Is there any element of serviceability to the motor or is it a case of just replace?

Yes - it’s toast and not easily serviceable. Repop replacement available from URO.
