Does anyone know, or better yet have a graphic with dimensions for the front bumper/valance opening(s) for the GT oil cooler inlet?
I'm thinking about attempting this mod on an extra bumper/val that I have, to feed air to an A/C condenser on a /4. Items would be painted black so doesn't have to be perfect (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) . |

You can do it with just the lower valance. The oem holes line up with the valance, not the bumper. If you like the GT look, then by all means, go for it but you can get air in the trunk without opening up the bumper.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) You can buy the lower GT valance from American International Racing. They sell a flaired option and non flaired car option. You can remove the plastic plugs and still get plenty of air flow without cutting the car. Otherwise I would either have Ben cut and weld a chrome or metal bumper to match the valance or buy a fiberglass one already done. Note that the fiberglass GT bumper requires lots of work to make it fit right. Also check the pbase GT sight for more info. https://www.pbase.com/9146gt/9146gt_front_m..._oil_cooler_no1 |

OH?, interesting, I didn't know that - might just have to try the valance only then, at least as a first step. Thanks. You can buy the lower GT valance from American International Racing. Thanks I just reached out to them via email, we'll see what they say (I see no 'add to cart' on their site). I got the measurements from Eric Shea. Out of curiosity, you wouldn't happen to remember the measurements? |

Plenty of front cooler designs in this thread. GTeener was using only the valence opening on his car.

Out of curiosity, you wouldn't happen to remember the measurements? Remember, no. But I went out and measured the bumper opening and that says 19.5"X4.0" total with valance. This caught me off guard so I will mention it. As I drew it on to the valance and bumper I started to notice that the opening is actually curved. Never noticed a frown on any GT's. Well once I was done marking and cutting long, then rolling the metal on the bumper and valance 90 degrees I put it on the car. From the side it frowns but from the front down low it is straight across. |

The correct opening is 19-3/4” with 1/2” radius. I have done hundred of bumpers and have a fixture and am always surprised by the DIY on this. It took a while to get good at it.
I reluctantly just did a lower valance for a client /member here but the hours involved are insane and even for what I charge it’s not a break even. |

If I could afford to have you do it I would have. Yes the thin metal of the valance tested my welding…And my patience. But at the time with my wife not well it was a distraction I needed. |

I should charge 1k to do the lower valance as it’s such a PIA. |
