I am building my second 914 and putting a 2.4 six in and building it with hopes of building it out to a hotter 2.5 long stroke next winter... So I am putting in a external cooler up front. I am looking for the best ways to run the lines.. I dont want to run GT hardlines. What did you do?? Pictures welcome!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Im gonna run hard lines.... but am interested in the photos of getting it from the frunk to the back.... where to cut etc...
I know some people run them inside the car, I want to avoid that if possible.... Watching. I was just going to post the same question. I want to run the lines down the passenger side. I am thinking of using -16 braided lines or possible making some stainless lines to go under the rocker cover. I would like to go into the space where the gas tank sits and then go into the frunk. The oil cooler I am using has the connections on the passenger side. Interested in how other have done this and what they would do different.

To each his own, but I installed AN12 steel braided lines down the drivers side instead of the hard line over 35 years ago with no issues. I referenced the phase sight as a reference. https://pbase.com/9146gt/factory_9146gt_parts

On my 2nd Six, 3.0, we ran braided SS lines up the passenger side behind the rocker covers, into the trunk, and then to the 2 VW 411 type oil coolers, one at each foglight opening. Car never over heated. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
