I've got a set of Grant rings from EMW for my JE 96mm pistions (1.5x1.75x4.0) and I'm getting cold feet. The don't seem to have the best reputation in a Type 4, at least from 23 years ago on Pelican.

I didn't find a Hastings or Deves ring pack that matched my ring width. I've written Total Seal, Hastings, and Deves looking for their opinion. Now I'm asking your opinions... Lay it on me.

I've always just purchased the rings from J.E.

Might e-mail them for suggestions.

L.N. themselves are another I'd ask.

I think Raby had issues with making gapless rings work;

I might be wrong...

Grant piston rings have been around since 1922. Never had a problem.
