I can‘t find any Information about a small, almost clean line that runs with the fuel lines from the engine bay to the fuel tank area. Where does it connect to in the engine bay and where to in the fuel tank area. I‘ll ad a couple pictures.
I‘ll be very thankfull for any hint as to what it is for. Thanks a lot an greatings from Germany!  |

vapor line to charcoal canister for evap emissions.
USA and J market cars had it. since its running through your tunnel it must mean you have a 74----> model year car built after late November 1973? probably missing its charcoal canister which was mounted in the engine bay? EDIT here are a couple of photos. at fuel tank end goes into the small tube off the side of the expansion tank. uses a small length of braided rubber hose as a joiner between tank outlet and nylon vapor line.  charcoal can in engine bay. in a 74 can is bracketed off rear firewall. in 75 the can is bracketed off the battery tray.  European ROW cars (except japan) never had it. can't remember exactly how they were plumbed but its shown in the PET catalogue. think the expansion tank just ran a hose straight down and out the bottom or the fume line just ran around under the expansion tank and had a t joiner to the fuel filler overflow tube. as well as making a closed evap emission circuit for USA cars its also the way the tank ventilates. in either case, Euro or ROW. don't believe euro spec cars would have had the tube through the tunnel, so guessing your car is a USA model that has been imported back into europe? |

The plumbing diagram is available on-line, do a search for 'charcoal canister hose diagram' or something similar. It's pretty straightforward.
