Decel Valve Replacement Options Options

On my '74 2.0 it appears that my Decel Valve is leaking.

I'm going to attempt to clean it based on threads I've read here on the site. But, if this fails, what are my options on getting a replacement? I have found there are numerous versions available on the auction sites, but they are either for 1.7s or other cars, like VWs. Can any of these be used if I set the vacuum point?

I found what I hope to be a perfect valve on Ebay. I say I hope, because it hasn't arrived yet.
I'm in the process of getting our FI in good running order, I've had some issues with warm up, so trying to pick my way through.

I have seen PBanders site and I have found it to be excellent and it has helped me understand how the FI system functions.

However, unless I'm missing it, I haven't seen anywhere on the site if I can use a 1.7l or a VW Decel Valve part in place of the failed 2.0l Porsche part. I have seen where there are substitutes listed for other types of parts, but not Decel Valves.

Any decel valve from a 914 Djet setup will work. They are adjustable, so you can configure it for your car. Don't know if the Ljet /vw 'flat style' valve can be made to work.

I have one from an old 911 (can't rember the year), part #280 160 111. It also works and looks identical to the 914 one, but the mounting bracket is in the wrong place.

Great, the VW Decel Valve I'm looking at, looks just like mine and has the adjustment, it has a part number of 0-280-160-100.

don't think you can adjust the big flatter valve off the 75 1.8s. don't know for sure,
but looking at images they don't look to be adjustable.
the previous smaller ones for 74 1.8s are adjustable and i think pretty much the same valve as the D jets. there are lots of these similar decel vavles out there which are all pretty much adjustable to the right vac specs, where they tend to differ is in the mounting clamps which for other model cars, even 911s are set to different angles and bends to suit mounting on other engines. i've got a few lying around that were off SAABs with Djets. have a different angle bracket but i figure if i ever need one i can adapt it.
