I have the 914 rear emblem for the 4 cylinder cars on my GT clone. I would like to replace it with the correct 914-6 emblem. The only place I see these is Sierra Madre.

https://sierramadrecollection.com/products/...c4d4e0c802eeaff

Does anyone know if the pin spacing on these the same as the spacing is for the 4 cylinder version. I do not want to drill new holes.

You can always just cut off the pin(s) from the emblem and use double sided tape to stick it on.

Plus, maybe one of the pins is in a location that would make the emblem align nicely on your car.

Tom, I'll buy your 914 rear emblem if you replace it. Just realized my 914 rear emblem fell off somewhere..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

We just did this on our buddie's '74 914. We found the 2 holes from the stock 914 emblem were exactly where they needed to be for the 6 emblem. We did have to add 1 hole for the last pin on the right side of the emblem. I will attach a picture as soon as I go snap one. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Very nice; I have a brand new OEM European 914-6 emblem like that which I have had sitting in my office for over 40 years. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

O/T: If anyone knows where to get a silver color 914-6 emblem, please let me know. Cheers!

I did consider getting two silver 914 emblems from 914Rubber and use the second 9 for the six. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

maybe not, I used 2 sided tape a couple years ago, looked great stayed tight, but removing it for new paint was not easy. Also, after a while the tape is not invisible

My 73 had the black badges ,one "914" and the other "2.0" ,fitted the gold "914-6" emblem but the old holes for the "2.0" emblem remain and can see the spare holes haven't been drilled later on ,looks factory ??? .
My son is right into his Cad printer so if send him my old emblem then see if he can make me a 2.2 emblem ,not fun having 2 useless holes in the rear of the car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) .
I guess drilling the last hole in the longer emblem is the only solution as opposed to double sided tape ,up to the OP of course.

On my friend's '74, the original holes were welded up and the panel refinished. But on the inside of the trunk you could still see where the original emblems holes were. We just drilled 2 of the the original holes out and then added the 3rd. This was for a USA 914-6 emblem.

The $300+ emblem from SM arrived yesterday and it does not fit the hole pattern on my car. Installing it with its current pins would mean filling the existing holes, repainting and drilling new ones. I am not inclined to go that route, so I am planning on returning the emblem.

Hi Tom, I am sorry your emblem did not align with the factory holes. Here is my buddies '74 rear panel after we installed a factory 914-6 emblem using the stock 2 left holes and only needing to add a right hole for the 6. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I bought the SM emblem a while back and was not satisfied with the results

When you drill new holes and they are level the emblem ends up crooked. It's the way the emblem is manufactured.

Look at the others posted here and the 914-6 looks crooked. The Porsche looks bent also.

Is anyone selling this emblem? I’d like to find one for my project.
