My mechanic recently replaced my CHT and used electrical tape over the spade connectors which I find unacceptable.

I assume there should be a spade housing covering the connectors like so many other places around the engine.

I've searched, but haven't found the part. Does anyone know if they are still make it (and the part number) or where I can find a similar housing to use?

Yup . . . Lazy mechanic beware. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif)

If you want OEM connector place WTB in classified - someone can probably come up with one.

If you’re not hooked into OEM there are parts like this available commercially. Wiringdepot.com, granger, McMaster Carr, etc are likely sources Attached Image

This and probably easier to source than my recommendation that may force larger quantity purchase.

Sorry, I don't know if it's just my car, (but it does look original) but the car's wiring harness end is a male connector and this male spade seems very long too, only the CHT end is a female connector.

So, I would need one of these with a female and male on each end.
