So what is the trick to installing the rubber bellows for air flow to the alternator?

Trying to snake that into that tight spot with the clip inside seems nearly impossible. What am I missing?? Trying to put that in before installing my rebuilt alternator. Got a new one from 914rubber...

TIA.

Clip goes in AFTER you put the boot in.

Thanks. Got it in place without it and wondered the same thing... learn something every day, even after 55+ years playing with these things!!

I wouldn't want to try it with the engine in the car!

I remember having the fan shroud split when I installed the boot. Made access really simple.
