Recently acquired a 74 LE Bumble bee. I purchased it a few weeks from a friend of mine who is 89 yrs old. He had purchased it in 1978. It was always very well maintained. Over the past few years he could not drive it, so I would try every few weeks to visit him and take it out along with him for a nice drive. He finally came to the conclusion that it was time to sell rather than have it sit in his garage and not be driven. I really felt the need to purchase it rather see it go away never to be seen again. Now I can take him out for a drive when ever he wants. It was very painful for me to see how hurt he was to let go. Now he can be rest assured that it is in very good hands.

Photo back in 2019 after getting it back on the after 10 years on jack stands in his garage. There is an article in Panorama December 2019. When I registered the LE I saw the save the bees license plate and thought it would be perfect for this car. |

It looks to be incredibly well maintained. I see the yellow zinc on the calipers still. How many miles are on this thing? I resurrected #14863 but it for the most part just sits in my garage. I have 3 other 914s I use so no real reason to drive it. I really need to find it a new home. Almost 81,000 original miles. Calipers were replaced in 2018. I will be dropping the engine in about a month to replace the seals, motor mounts, stainless fuel lines and a little clean up. |

It looks like a wonderful car. I love the Paint scheme both on the bumblebees and the creamsicle. I had a 74 car in factory BK Love the tits on front and back. I guess I am a tit man
Enjoy the car Best Bob B |

Yes, and I can add you in as a current caretaker, not having to delete the previous owner.
