Hi,
Recently acquired '74 2.0l, I have finally gotten the engine running properly and I'm now moving on to the many other things which need to be fixed. So, after following the site for a while, I can say, I've never seen a hole like this on anyone's car. Any guesses as to why or what it was used for? Thanks  |

Doo you mean the small hole in the shelf next to the snorkel? I would guess somebody wanted to run a wire and they did the second most easy thing (after just snaking the wire past the engine shelf rubber).

I checked my 75 / 1.8 and it does not have that hole. Below that hole, or around there is the rear brake bias valve.
  You could put a plastic rivet (panel plug/whatever) in there. My guess is DAPO drilled a hole for a wire or something. Ted |
