Hello,
I am looking for some pre made flared ends to weld onto steel rockers to match up with GT flares. I checked with Ben Mb911 and he dosent have any.
If there is another source or someone has some they are not going to use i would be very happy to know.

Chris don’t know how quick you need them but I’ve been talking with Restoration Design and they are in the final stages of tooling for metal flared ends that will probably hit production in a few months

I have a set of weld on ends for steel rockers. I also have a brand new set of steel rockers. I’m not computer savvy enough to put pictures on here to show you message me back I can I have my daughter-in-law send you an email with pictures or something slamming out

Why don't they make a complete metal rocker panel with flair ends? I've had no problems with the fiberglass ones. I guess it just depends on who installed the flairs.

Years ago I asked Pete at RD about repro 914 bumpers. He said (iirc) they require a very big mold and consequently, very expensive. Flared rockers are a big mold with very few sales. Maybe since they sell both items, they will pre-fab them at their shop. On the other hand, building a flared rocker that will perfectly match to the flares would be a crap shoot. The “shop” that did mine, didn’t set the flares at the same distance on each side. Not that I’m surprised.

The flare ends will be sold in Left/Right sets. As @mepstein says, it would be difficult to provide a welded set that would be universal for everyone. Its best that they are sold separate and have the shop or individual install them to match the flares.

Jarred did mine. Welded on the ends to fit the flares and then did some more metalwork to blend.
It might not be as contoured as a glass flare but I wanted metal rockers and bumpers on the car.

This is awesome that restoration design is doing these. It was a huge PIA to make these and even less profitable. What Pete is doing is the right way to do it

The female tool is done now, the male tool is being milled currently. Then we still need to make restrike tool to bend the ends down. Still 2-3 months away.

I will be buying these for sure
