Since it was on the hoist anyway, I was just going to have the mechanic put the bumpers on, but he said something was not right with the front one, so he didn't bother with the rear one yet.
On the current fiberglass ones, the bracket sticks out further than the chrome ones, so I don't know if this is part, or all of the problem? It's on a 1975. He said the back of the rubber bumps into the V grove at the top. Or needing those dog bones??  |

Since the car is a 75, has the extra lip to catch the BUB have been removed?

There are lips on the sides as well, to hook on to the ends of the bumper cover. They're spot-welded on and need to be cut off.
Bumper mounts are very different between the 74 and the 75 cars. To use the earlier bumpers on a later chassis, you need to cover the holes where the bumper shocks mounted, and drill mounting holes for the earlier bumpers. --DD |

I know where the old shocks were is capped, and holes for mounting was done. |
