Hi all
getting very close to finishing my Crayford No 7 car, but have a couple of questions.

Since my No 1 Crayford is not available to check, can someone tell me which way round the engine carrier goes...does its ears point towards the front or rear of the car?

BTW this is a 1700 with tail shift box as original in 1971.
Also my gearbox number is...914111HAOC 26934, what does the "C" stand for ?

thanks guys.

Ian

Can you show a picture of what you describe as " round engine carrier" ?
The tail shift engine bar is a square channel.

you sure it is a C and not a 0 (zero)?
gear boxes usually have a six numeral number after HAO --
goes HAO XXXXXX at least up until end of 73
the last 1 of the 111 after 914 indicates its a 71MY box.

got no idea what you mean by "ears". english terminology?
