Turn it about 45 degrees counter clockwise. EDIT: sorry, misread your question. No idea.

Counter clockwise is correct. I just pushed in a little and turned it CC. If it went in upside down the contactor can get stuck and then it was turn it really hard and I ordered a new contactor (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

I have the batwing separated from the wheel, I am asking about removing the rubber from the batwing so that I can get it BS blasted and powder coated before reassembly.

Heat gun on the back side to melt the adhesive then should just push out.
