The interior light on my '74 is inoperable. Previous owner cut the Interior Light red/black wire from the light to the relay under the passenger seat. Can anyone help with info on the wiring connections to get the interior light operating??

I think the light will operate with juice from any unswitched source. It lights when grounded by the door switches or the switch on the light. As long as it has 12 volts from somewhere it should work fine.
Not sure about the relay as it would not need one to operate. Maybe that was just a convenient source of unswitched power.

That's all it was--a convenient source of unswitched power. Just hook the red/black wire up to any constant power source (there should be another cut-off wire that is "hot" all the time there at the seatbelt relay socket) and the light should work again.
