ok, stupid question. Engine I am going to run needs a distributor. Its a 2.2 T...my question is, can I run an earlier dizzy, from say, a 2 liter, or a later dizzy from say, a 2.4? From what I have garnered I can use an E/S dizzy from the same years as well with no problems. Also, being that I am gonna run carbs, I have noticed that some distributors have vaccum advances and some dont, is that only on the later 2.4 and up dizzys... Can anyone answer these questions, most importantly the first. Would greatly appreciate it, just trying to jump on deals when they come up, and dont want to buy stuff I can use...lol...Take care

You can use a 2.0 , bolt in. Any 2.0-2.2 will be better than a later one curve wise
2.4 up have a bigger dia . and wont fit . They can be machined to fit ,new o ring groove and cut off the mount ear. |
