Actually, you will note a difference in the paint colors after a period of time, as the uncovered part is exposed to UV.
Secondly, unless it is real tight, the flapping will scratch it too. Is that serious enough for you? I had one and tossed it.......... |

but if i had it on their when i bought the car, i [robably wouldn't all of those rock chips either. it goes both ways. but we do get a few more UV rays being a mile high. Ben, has yours faded at all? |

I use one for trips or highway use (colgan-carbon fiber). Do take it off. My other car had it on in the rain and such. You will get a line(outline from the portion on the hood) int he paint after a while of it sitting in the rain and sun (months). Mine went a way though. Keep the hood waxed and that will help too.
If you live in a high construciton area and use the highway, use it. If the car stays in the garage and sees little rain, use it. Also depends on the maker. A poorly constructed one will flap in the wind and dont get the ones that use velcro BB |
