There is a guy on the Pelican board selling some of the 12 cyl engines for the 917...only $300k each. He has 5 of them. Get 'em while they last for your next conversion (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

Since it's not a street car there is no title. You'll have to find something else to use as a daily driver (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

the right side of what?

all the LM 917's had the driver's seat on the right side, if that's what you mean. it helps *a little* because as a clockwise circuit, there are more right hand turns. this is true of most of the European tracks.

but mostly, it's done because the pits at Le Mans are on the right, and it's a little faster and safer to enter the car from the right.

The seat should be in the middle. 917's only seated 1, correct? Center of the chassis (i THINK).

searched the BJ auction list for Porsche and found this one

http://www.barrett-jackson.com/events/scot...t.asp?id=183537

Read the description and check out the full photo of the car. "blow your socks off paint scheme" more like blow chunks! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/barf.gif)
