I am making available 914-6 engine sheet metal sets.
These sets are hand made from patterns taken from original sheet metal. Some modifications have been made and some holes omitted for ease of fabrication. These will be built to order and may take up to 2 weeks to ship. I have left some final fitting up to the end user as some installations may require different hole sizes/locations. I am offering these painted satin black for $300.00/set + Shipping Attached image(s) |

I believe that I am using 22ga sheeet steel. It's not flimsy, but it's not overly sized either.
I believe that this sheet metal will fit all air cooled engines 2.0-3.2. I know for a fact that it fits 2.4, 2.7, 3.0, 3.3, and 3.2. I think they are all externally the same size. I do not know about the 3.6. I don't have one to fit it to. If you would donate one, I'll make sheet metal to fit it. I may be able to powdercoat these at the same price...... |

Excellent job John!
Mine fit the 3.2 just perfect! Craftsmanship is beautiful! I hope I don't scuff it trying to raise the motor into the car... AAAA+++++ |

QUOTE Will you just 1 part?? The PO garbaged up one of the back parts. The rest look OK. I cannot guarantee fitment with either factory parts or someone elses fabricated parts. I make mine all as one set to make sure they bolt together and properly to an engine (I install/fit them on a spare engine I have on a stand prior to painting.) Which piece is it that you are looking for? The back two pieces are the most difficult to fabricate. Sorry for not being around lately.
I have taken a new job and am still in moving flux. I have moved my entire shop and household items into several storage units and my apartment until a suitable home can be found. I have sold my old house and shop and am closing on my other parcel of land in Missouri on Tuesday. After that closing, I will be actively negotiating for a replacement home and shop here in Evansville, Indiana. Hopefully, I will be able to find something workable in the near future with a shop already existing. If not, I will have to build a new shop. Until further notice, I can not build any parts. My small apartment coupled with my small children and wife just does not lend itself to fabrication work. My new job also does not allow me to easily powder coat parts unless I do mass quantities and schedule it well in advance (one of the few disadvantages to working for a larger company). I will let everyone know when I am able to produce more sheet metal parts. BTW, while my sheet metal is a close approximation of factory parts, mine is custom. Each set is fit together and is a set. I can not guarantee fit with factory parts as I don't own any factory 914-6 sheet metal parts to compare. Thanks for looking. |
