OK, this is the Tach adapter I have but am wondering if I should have gotten the 8910 instead? The MSD is 6A (I believe) or 6200, I need to double check I guess.. but anyway, would this 8920 work for getting the Tach to work? Engine = '77 2.7L from a 'S' engine. How does it hook up?

I'd suggest calling MSD and let their tech guy know what type of distributor, coil, MSD box, tach and any other associated ignition parts and they will tell you how to hook it all up. I did that when I bought my MSD box 6 years ago and they were a fantastic help.

I could never get the tach to work with or with out. 4 tach worked right off the AL box but was incorrect because engine is a 6. the 6 tach never worked. I ended up getting one built for use with MSD at No. Hollywood Speedo. $160.
