After the 2.7 expired, the 914 is getting a 3.2.

I will continue to use the 914 transaxle. Should the 4-bolt CV joints be upgraded to 6-bolt 911 CV joints? How long can the 4-bolt CV joints handle the torque of the 3.2?

im sure theyll work. people use em with v8's and some survive.

do a search on 944 axle setup.

the hot tip. bigger CV's on a 914 axle....

hi
2004 season i broke atleast 1 of those in every race. Total 6 cv's and after vw axle and vw cv svap i haven't had any problems.

yes thats the one. I took old bus axles and had 15mm adapters made.
