You bought another 914?

Single weber carb found in a box of parts with a parts car I had. Looked on the web, but really didn't find anything that says this carb is XYZ. So now I ask the 914 gods WTF is it.

I'm not sure what Weber called them, but it looks like the one Holley built under liscence and called it a 5200. Weber may have called it the same thing...

They were used on just about every four banger and some six cyls that Ford, and just about everyone else, built up to the late seventies or early eighties. I used to build up Capris and Pintos back in the day, so I've seen a few 5200s.... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Great little carbs, for what they were. I have a book about those things somewhere, I'll try to dig it out...

32/34 DFT Emission Carb....should be stamped on the square base. Similar to the 32/34 DGAV....just more vacuum ports

Okay, Weber called it a 32/36 DGV, 32/36 denoting the primary and secondary bore diameters. It seems it was also available with smaller bores. Holly built them for the US manufacturers, the rest of the world got them from Weber.

It was considered a fairly high performance carb back in the day. Some guys used to run 'em with a single carb set-up on Type 1 V-dubs with some success.
