I'm hanging out with my father in Grants Pass OR. We were looking at some old photos and ran across this picture of his 71 914 on Laguna Seca at the 73 Porsche Parade. This is the car that got me hooked on 914's! He gave this car to me when I graduated from High School.

looks like real fuchs with all blacked out except the paddles, seen it once before. Looks like a matchbox car wheel (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

Grant,
Nice ride....I got a 66 Corvair (poor mans porsche) for graduation from H.S. Great photo. Hey, do I see some negative camber dialed into that rear wheel ? Did you dad do PCA events or autox it ?

It should be. I think the first 914/6 got delivered in North America in May of 1970, so that car is only a month old or so.

He mostly did mostly PCA AX events in Zone 7. The car was nicely set up with adjustable Koni's, big front swaybar, fairly aggressive alignment, and a stinger that came off the back of the car. It was just a 1.7 but the car was fairly competitive in its day.

That's one of those Bavarian hats that you wear when you put on your lederhosen. Then you get drunk and do that silly dance where you slap yourself all over. What's that dance called?
