Is it worth a 3 hour drive? Might I find the 914 "I've been looking for" there?

To be honest I don't know. I haven't been to one there yet. If I can stand the 1 1/2 hr drive I will be at this one (bad back). Anyone been to one of these at Mid America?

I was there when they were part of the PorscheFest in the summer. Not too many parts though - it is quite a drive. If you need something, call Brad Mayeur in Peoria and he can probably help you.

For 914 parts, I seem to remember that Brad from 914Ltd and Jay Miksell from PartsWerks were about the only ones with a fair selection of parts there.

Unfortunately, April 1st can still be iffy as far as weather in Illinois is concerned. I think they just got 5-10 inches of snow the last few days.

I went to the last swap meet MA held last spring, mostly Corvette stuff. Very little Porsche parts, zero 914 parts. Not worth my 3 hr drive from St. Louis.

Guess I'll pass then. I don't need parts, I need a car! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

Swapfest sucks for 914 owners

Funfest was.....fun. It was all Porsches. But they are in it for the money and Porsche Funfest wasnt bringing in the $$$$$.
