huge thanks to brad/clayton/kevin/joer

well, brad rocks (we knew that)

everyone said when you remove the choke/fuel enrichment circuit, you pull the 2 little springed psitons inside...

WRONG. there are like 15 types of IDF's, and if yours came with chokes, all the choke passages are drilled.....

i need this part badly! my car was a fuel pump.... must have been 1:1 AFR.......

oil change here we come.....

I NEED THIS PART BY SATURDAY !!! PLEASE HELP! ANYONE HAVE PARTS CARBS????

I Mostly just need the "spring clip" at the top, but will take it all if you got it.

I have it.

Show me the exact part.

Or tell me the number...

Or better yet, take a pic.

I have two parts 44 IDF Carbs...

Is it the same part?

If so, its there...I will go check...

Meanwhile..think about this..

My tranny.. (In PM) I need to put a stock fifth in there...

Look at the gears again and tell me what my shifting will look like...4th-5th...I mean to ask,,,is it doable...

I will go out and look now..

hey no prob- you didnt know, neither did i, neither did clayton...scott, etc

i called and checked with 8 other people.... they all said "pull em"

brad said nope! if yours were drilled and arrived with a choke - you need em.....

so does bob tomlinson manual...

right bank has an OEL problem now. burning oil ((IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif) ) take your guess...im hoping for C!
A ) broke a ring, needs rings
B ) needs balve guides
C ) from running so rich, we could have washed all the oil off the cylinder walls. hello honing.

lots of gas in the oil, needs to be drained and we will go from there (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

it was the only thing that changed from when i drove in, and when i drove out. took us 30 hours to figger it out (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

oh, and the thing really doesnt have anything to do with the bowls. it bleeds off extra air to atmospere, air taht would be going into your engine, thus richening up the mixture, thus used for cold star enrichment (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)
